Tenant's box The Crown Tenant's Box is handcrafted from Finnish wood: the sides are made of goat willow, the bottom of common alder, all tied up with birch roots. The product has been treated with non-toxic linseed oil, so it can be used for both serving and storing food or as a decorative item or a gift. Size 200 x 295 mm, height 56 mm. Snow-crowned spruce candle The Snow-Crowned Spruce Candle is made of plant-based stearin with cotton wicks. The unique candles are 100% handmade with no added fragrances or colour pigments. Aamumaa Organic Soap Aamumaa Organic Soap The Golden Eagle Egg soap is made of salts from olive oil, coconut fat and shea butter. The fragrances come from pure essential oils from conifers and shrubs. The soap is ripened for four weeks, and it is the same size as a real golden eagle egg. Keeps for about 2 years. Farmer's knife The Farmer's Knife is forged and tempered by hand, leaving the forging marks intact. This way, it keeps sharper for longer. The handle is made of curly birch and the sheath of tanned leather. Made by Vaaran Paja
Red-flanked bluetail Degradable. The dishcloth is made of a cellulose-cotton mixture, so it can be disposed of by composting. It can be washed by hand or in a dishwasher at up to 60° C. Each picture is screen printed on the cloth by hand. Made by Namia Design
All-purpose knife The knife is forged from carbon steel in a charcoal hearth at the foot of Syöte, then ground and tempered. The sheath is made of tanned leather. Can be sharpened with a normal knife sharpener. Made by Vaaran Paja
Birch leaf hook The Birch Leaf Hook and mounting nail are forged from recycled iron at Vaaran Paja, the local smithy. The iron has been transformed in the heat of the charcoal hearth, reaching its final form in the hands of a skilled blacksmith. Made by Vaaran Paja
Reindeer Bone Necklace Reindeer Bone Necklace The Bear Track necklace is made of untreated reindeer bone in Sotkajärvi, 24 kilometres away from Syöte. The necklace is sawn by hand - each necklace is unique. A silver ring connects the necklace with an adjustable, waxed cotton string. Made by Sarviseppä
