(Note: This information below is not applicable for visitors from abroad taking part in organised snowmobile safaris)

People from outside Pudasjärvi need the Villi Pohjola licence when using the Pudasjärvi area snowmobile tracks (among others between Pudasjärvi and Syöte and in the Syöte area). However you do not need a licence on the official snowmobile tracks between Ylikiiminki and Pudasjärvi.

Season licences are valid from the beginning of October till the end of September the following year. Licences bought for snowmobile tracks by people from outside Pudasjärvi are valid throughout the country, except for a couple of municipalities in the Province of Lapland, where you do not need a licence.
