Ahmatupa track 16 km / 17 km

Syöte Visitor Centre is the starting point for the Ahmatupa track. The track is located mainly in the Syöte National Park area. The most popular ski track alternative is to ski through the Annintupa and Välitupa to the Ahmatupa gently ascending hill and take the same way back, enjoying the downhill slide (alltogether 16 km). The biggest downhill starts right from the National Park parking lot – also the biggest uphill when coming back. Another track alternative is to go back to the National Park from Ahmatupa through Ylpiätupa (alltogether 17 km). The Ylpiätupa track boasts big downhill areas, which are very enjoyable in the early winter but also extremely challenging during the icy weathers of the spring. During the ski season, the Ahmatupa wilderness coffee shop is at your service in the Ahmatupa deserted cabin. More information about opening hours etc. from the Syöte Visitor centre Tel. +358 205 64 6550 or straight from the entrepreneur himself, Tomi Illikainen Tel. +358 40 517 9839.

Anninkoski is a hut-like cabin: a fireplace in the middle and benches around it. The children’s track is challenging enough not to be suitable for the youngest of children. The way to the river is downhill and the biggest downhill starts right form the Visitor Centre parking lot. The trip back is gently ascending.
